The Story - Houjou Aika

Basic Stats

- red hair, variably-colored eyes o_o;
- is raped by Suruga and gives birth to Kai
- caring, resourceful, and SMART

Lemme just take a second to thank Ohkami Mineko for making Aika a SMART lass. Grovel, grovel.
Aika could have EASILY been either the typical whiny schoolgirl with no brains, or the typical abused heroine who needs to be rescued every other second. But neither is the case, and Aika can strut her stuff pretty damn well in the midst of all the nightmarish events and Armageddon-esque atmosphere dominating her life.
Poor Aika is raped by Suruga and consequently becomes a silent and strange girl, at least in the eyes of the people around her. She cares for her child, though, and takes the responsibility of taking care of Kai and whatnot. (It's really sweet, if somewhat odd to see since mother and son are about the same physical age... ^^;;)
Aika may be a gentle, kind girl, but that doesn't mean that she's weak. She's resourceful, quick-thinking, and acutely aware of the circumstances around her - in short, she hides a whole lot more strength than she shows.
The story hints that Aika's wish is to lead a peaceful, quiet life with her son, even if it seems impossible... but at least I'm rooting for Aika-chan's happiness. ;_;v
