The Story - Houjou Kai

Basic Stats
- half-Seihakuke, half-human, male
- name: ka ('summer') + i ('fiber/rope')
- appears to be around 16, with a very slight build and wide, innocent-looking eyes (kyoot XD)
- I'm assuming he has red hair and red eyes...?
- trapped in the Fortress of Time for hundreds of years
- requires a constant source of medicine, provided by Hisanagi, to maintain stability
- is, uhm, repeatedly abused by Kaiga
- seems to possess some sort of unknown power o_o

The story of Lumen Lunae centers around this tragic boy. To say that his life was one big long tragedy isn't stretching it much, actually - Kai never really came into contact with the outside world until he escaped the Fortress of Time, where he was shut away and imprisoned for God knows how long. This probably explains why Kai seems to be rather quiet and a bit awkward most of the time.
Kai enters the human world and starts attending the same high school as his mother, Aika. This is possible only because of his imprisonment in the Fortress of Time - the flow of time is different in that tower, and the hundreds of years that Kai spent there essentially only equals a year or so as far as the human world is concerned.
Kai would easily become one of the typical 'poor abused victims' in a yaoi/shounen-ai type of story, but thankfully, he has more backbone than it initially seems. Kai breaks out of his cage to somehow find his mother, and will do anything in his power to achieve his goal. It would appear that he takes extremely large risks and is rather naive about the consequences of his actions - and perhaps that really is the case - but there's an underlying strength and considerable amount of courage in his every action. He cares deeply for his mother and yearns for his own freedom.
One catch about Kai is that his body, being half-Mazoku and half-human, seems to be very unstable... and on top of that, he trades in his heart (the internal organ O_o;) for any information concerning Aika, since he knows nothing in the beginning...
What Kai really desires is strength - the power to overcome his opponents, obstacles and ultimately his own weakness: the weakness of being an 'incomplete' being. And while his goal seems to be fairly straightforward, precisely *where* this will lead him is another story...
